Electric-Bike

This E-cycle was conceptualized and developed by Dr. V. Sankaranarayanan, lead consultant for Inventglo, and his team. The basic objective in this E-cycle is to develop a controller which helps the cyclist to interact with the cycle for torque assistance. The electric drive assist the driver based on his/her torque requirement using a torque sensor. Since the torque sensor is expensive, in this model, a torque observer is designed based on the feedback signal available from the BLDC motor that is the speed. This method help reducing the cost of the entire system without compromising the accuracy of the torque value. The assist level also can be programmed as per the requirement to control the motor torque demanded by the cyclist. A dedicated controller is designed for this purpose and especially this approach is more cost effect compared to the existing torque assist bicycle. Inventglo is working with them to refine the design in to a marketable one. We are envisaging further development of this prototype into commercial product and looking for investors to take it forward.
